Getting started
Create geometry online at: Onshape.com
Log into your Onshape account at onshape.com. If you do not have an account sign up for a free account: Sign up
Create a new document and within it create one or more parts in a Part Studio and, if necessary, assemble parts to create an assembly model. Parts and assembly models created on Onshape can be opened from within Onsimulation.

Login using the combo-box next to the Onshape button at the top right of the Onsimulation window.

Use your Onshape account name (email address) and password to login.

Select the Onshape document you want and then open any part or assembly within the document

The part is downloaded, displayed and locally cached. If necessary, change units when prompted. Use the Save button to save the geometry into any local directory.
